Exploring Our Planet

An educator from Sweetbriar Nature Center will guide children in taking a trip around the globe without leaving their seats as they meet a variety of animals from the nature center. They will meet a bearded dragon from Australia, a spiny creature from Africa, a mountain dweller from South America, and more.

REGISTRATION POLICY: Due to the popularity of our programs and events, those registered for the program or event MUST show up on time at the start of the program or event for guaranteed admittance. If registered persons are not present to be checked in by 5 minutes after the program or event start time, their spots will be given to the waitlist. Please note that only participating children need to be registered - accompanying adults and non-participating siblings do not need to register a spot for themselves.

WAITLIST POLICY: The waitlist for programs and events is now IN PERSON on the DAY OF THE PROGRAM OR EVENT and available once the Library opens at the Information Desk of the Children’s Room or at the entrance to the event. If spots become available at program or event time, they will be given to those on the waitlist who are present at check in, in the order listed.

UNATTENDED MINOR POLICY: Children through age ten must be accompanied by a parent or responsible caregiver who is at least fourteen years of age. Parent or caregiver will remain in the immediate vicinity and within view of the child at all times.
