VT Butterfly Atlas Workshop

If you spend time outdoors, have an appreciation for butterflies, and are up for some citizen science, grab your phone or laptop and join us for a fun training workshop with staff from the Vermont Center for EcoStudies. We will learn about the VT Butterfly Atlas and the 5 year effort (2023-2027) to document species across the state, practice surveying for and photographing butterflies, and learn how to submit data online. So far volunteers have documented 3 new species never before recorded in VT and documented nearly 23,000 observations. The Northeast Kingdom needs volunteers! If you contribute one butterfly record or 100, your efforts are appreciated. Event is rain or shine. Lunch provided. Please join us! Presented by Burke's Conservation Commission.
