Sushi Making Demonstration Class

Interested in learning more about the art of sushi making? Join us for a unique demonstration with Chef Asai Junpei. He'll be teaching how to make sushi and temari sushi here at the East Boston Branch. Class will be followed by a Q&A.

Chef Asai Junpei is the private chef for Consul-General of Japan in Boston Seiichiro Takahashi. He was born in Kawasaki city, Kanagawa prefecture.

After graduating from culinary school in Tokyo, he worked at French restaurants in Japan, and then Kaiseki (traditional multi-course Japanese dining) restaurants in both Tokyo and America, and since 2023 has been working as the private chef for the Consul-General of Japan.

He strives to show hospitality to guests through exquisite Japanese and French dishes utilizing various ingredients from Japan, New England, and around the world.
