Lessons in Landscape Watercolor Series with LaCott Fine Art

THIS BEGINNER-LEVEL THREE-WEEK SERIES WILL BREAK DOWN LANDSCAPE PAINTING INTO THREE CORE FOCUSES THROUGH SKY, WATER, AND LAND.



We will zoom in on compositional elements each week through small sequential exercises.

• Washes and Color Blending

•Lifting

•Water Control



WEEK TWO- WATER

• Layering

•Tone and Contrast

•Expressive Brushstroke and Negative space

• The power of “reflection”



WEEK THREE- LAND

• Grasses and Texture

• Dry Brushing & Scrapping

• Texture-building tools like salt/alcohol & Opaque Mediums like Gouache & Micron Sketching
