Illustrative Poppies in Watercolor with LaCott Fine Art

STUDY THE ICONIC POPPY FLOWER AND ITS EXPRESSIVE TEXTURE THROUGH WATERCOLOR AND GRAPHITE IN THIS EXCITING WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP!

Our class will focus on mastering Icelandic Poppy Flowers' shape and color intensity in a wet-on-wet paint application and mastering fine detail and outlining with graphite & charcoal.

We will discuss the differences related explicitly to wet-on-wet watercolor painting and create natural bleeds and blooms on the paper's surface. We will use our brush to create loose petals and use our graphite to finish our overall composition.

Students will work on (1) 11" x 14" study.
