The Puget Sound Vizsla Club is hosting a "Fun Day" Saturday August 2nd for Vizslas and their families. It’s located in Duvall on a 60 acre farm on the Snoqualmie River with a great beach for swimming and plenty of field parking. We are offering several activities and you are welcome to pick and choose depending on your interests. Club membership is not required; the Fun Day is to to support our local Vizsla community.
11 am: PSVC members Tom and Gale Shay will be giving a demonstration of the different levels of AKC Hunt Tests with their beautiful and talented dogs. After the demonstration there will be an opportunity to introduce your dog to a bird for $10 (to cover bird cost).
** If you are interested in the bird introduction, please contact me by July 25th so we know the number of birds needed.**
12:30 pm: Margaret Hughes of Go-Get-'Em Agility will offering Trick Dog and Canine Good Citizen evaluations. Fees for the test are $25 for Trick Dog and $30 for CGC or CGCA. Those meeting the title requirements submit the approved title application to AKC with a $30 processing fee.
2 pm to dusk: Beach party! Head to the beach for swimming and social time with your V’s and other V lovers. Bring chairs, sunscreen, refreshments, whatever you need to be comfortable. There are shallow areas for wading and sand castle building. Friendly dogs can be off leash, but should have a good recall as the beach and property are not fully fenced.
