THE HYPOS
The Hypos are an Asheville, NC band built around the collaboration of veteran songwriters Greg Cartwright(reigning sound) and Scott McMicken(Dr Dog). Their eponymous debut album is a playful blend of sounds and styles, both hard to categorize and easy to enjoy. They’re joined by Evan Martin on drums, Kevin Williams on bass and Krista Wroten on violin. Together they investigate all the sonic possibilities on a new 10 song LP. Also, they like Frogs. A lot. What else do you need to know? Oh yeah, this fine album was lovingly mixed by Matt Ross-Spang.
