Olympic and Paralympic coach, Prof. Laszlo Jakab is leading a pairs exercises session for foil, epee and sabre to help create a constrained, weapon specific scenarios for developing skills in your fencing with a partner or group. For fencers and coaches.
Based on Hungarian fencing methodologies, pairs exercises are a range of drills that allow fencers to explore tempo in a given technical task as an opponent of another.
Included in each session are weapon specific footwork exercises, that aim to explore movement nuances when practicing or teaching groups.
The day is split into 2 hour weapon slots. attendees can take part in one or all sessions. You don’t need to bring a partner or student as this will be arranged on the day.

The workshops are suitable for fencers and coaches with 2+ years experience. British Fencing licence required. Must be 14 years and over.
Venue: Durham Fencing Centre, University Sports Centre, Maiden Castle, Durham. DH1 3SE
Times:
Foil 9.30-11.30
Epee: 12-2pm
Sabre 2.30-4.30pm
Cost: 1 weapon £25, 2 weapon £40, 3 weapon £50
Correct fencing or coaching kit must be worn as per BF safety guidelines.
