Official Krampus Walk 2025

Calling all Krampusse, perchten, and other Christmas folk monsters for the 5th annual Durham Krampus walk!

We'll be gathering at the Bull starting around 4 pm to admire each other's amazing costumes and grab some photos while there's still light.

Before the sun sets (around 5 pm), we'll huddle for a group photo. St. Nicholas and your hosts will rouse the horde, then we'll set off on our parade around downtown!

We'll be circling back to the Bull for those who need to leave early. This will be the official end to this year's family -friendly walk but for those 18 and over we can then make our way to Central Park to make an appearance at the Durham Krampus Market for an undetermined length of time. Traditionally, several of us continue to the Kotuku Surf Club to end the night. This year we will be asking them to see if they can create a 5th year anniversary Krampus drink for us!

Come and join us for as much as you choose, and remember, the fun is in getting into your character! Homemade costumes are highly encouraged but not required. Bonus points if you incorporate natural items like wood, bones, fur, leather, or moss into your costume. Let' show Durham how creative we can be as we bring these folk traditions to life! 👹
