We are honored to invite you to join the North Carolina A. Philip Randolph Institute, Inc., for our 49th Annual
Education and Awards Banquet, to be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel, located
in Durham, North Carolina.
This year’s theme, “49 Years of Purpose: Rooted in Justice, Rising in Strength,” reflects nearly five decades of
unwavering commitment to civil rights, labor justice, and collective power. The banquet offers a powerful space to reflect
on our journey, celebrate those who carry the torch, and recommit to our purpose. We will gather to honor the legacy of
A. Philip Randolph and Bayard Rustin, two trailblazers whose courage and leadership continue to shape our work today.
We will also celebrate local and statewide activists, labor leaders, and community builders who are making a lasting
impact on the ground.
The proceeds from this annual event help sustain NC APRI’s core programs, including voter registration and Get-Out-
The-Vote (GOTV) initiatives, youth leadership development, community outreach, and advocacy campaigns focused on
environmental, racial, and economic justice. Your presence and support make it possible for us to deepen our impact
across North Carolina and beyond.
Guests may reserve their hotel rooms at the Sheraton using our special group rate of $159 per night by calling (919) 941-
5050. The group rate is available for stays from October 17–19, 2025, and must be booked by Friday, September 26,
2025. If you would prefer to pay for tickets, souvenir book ads, and sponsorships by check, please mail your payment to
