Join us for a special songwriting workshop led by Bungalow Collect, the September headliner for Durham Central Park’s PLAYlist Concert Series! This free, hands-on workshop is designed just for teens (ages 11–17) who want to explore the art of songwriting while also gaining some real-world insights into the music business.
Participants will:
Work directly with professional artists to spark creativity and strengthen their songwriting skills
Learn about the basics of being a working musician, from performance to building a career
Walk away with both creative inspiration and a bit of foundational business know-how to support their musical journey
Why this matters: As one of the workshop leaders put it: “Thinking back, I know I would’ve really appreciated an experience like this in middle school.” This workshop gives teens that opportunity—support, inspiration, and encouragement from working musicians.
