Please join us on Thursday, May 29 from 5-7PM at 11th Street Station for Durango Green Drinks! Hosts this month are Wildfire Adapted Partnership, Durango Farmers Market, and Visit Durango. Green Drinks is a time to get together, network, gather in community, and hear from local organizations. Folks can have any kind of beverage or no beverage if they like.
Wildfire Adapted Partnership (WAP) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that inspires, educates, and enables individuals and communities to protect lives and property from wildfire. WAP offers wildfire education and mitigation programs to residents in the 5-county region and has a robust Neighborhood Ambassador program. Their free Home Wildfire Site Assessments and mitigation programs offer free education and financial incentives to create defensible space and foster fire adapted communities in southwest Colorado.
The Durango Farmers Market is a nonprofit hub for fresh, local food and handmade goods, showcasing producers from across our five-county region. Open Saturdays, May through October, the market connects the community to regional agriculture while supporting small businesses. Programs like SNAP matching, Farm-To-Neighbor food donations, guest chef demos, and youth activities make the market more than just a place to shop—it’s where local food and community come together.
Visit Durango is a destination management and marketing organization (DMMO). Established on January 1, 2003, they operate with the mission to promote Durango and La Plata County’s multitude of tourism attractions, events, and services. The role of Visit Durango is to represent the entire breadth of all Durango and La Plata County businesses in the tourism and hospitality industry year-round. We are now housed under the City of Durango's Prosperity Department.
