What to expect:
Lil Rev and Ray Cygrymus are on an epic 5-week tour of the western U.S. and will be passing thru Durango en route to Salt Lake City, Reno and points in California.
They'll swap tunes, playing both together and solo presenting a slew of cool covers, Rev's originals, Blues, Bluegrass, Folk, Hawaiian, Roots Rock and much more performed on a variety of ukuleles, guitar, mandolin and harmonica.
Who:
Lil Rev is an award-winning Wisconsin based multi-instrumentalist, storyteller, and entertainer who travels North America doing 125 dates a year. He's well known for his many ukulele and harmonica books, as well as his one man shows of historical and cultural significance. Lil Rev is the 1996 National Blues Harmonica Champion and was voted Best Folksinger in WI-2004 (WAMI).
Joining Rev is Pittsburgh, PA's ukulele maven Ray Cygrymus, who's quickly making a name for himself as an up n coming ukulele star on the national festival circuit. Ray is a master of rock styles on the ukulele and is also a fabulous singer and guitarist.
Ray recently retired after 30 years as a Pittsburgh Public School Music teacher!
