This interactive workshop focuses on developing the essential relationship between boards of directors and organizational leadership, providing practical tools to transform this partnership into a strategic advantage. Using a strengths-based approach to organizational development, participants will gain actionable insights to enhance governance effectiveness and operational synergy.
In this engaging session, we’ll explore how staff and board members can collaborate more effectively by aligning with a shared vision, clarifying roles, improving communication, and leveraging each other’s strengths. Through guided exercises, case studies, and collaborative discussions, participants will develop practical strategies they can immediately implement within their organizations.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the key dynamics of a healthy board-staff relationship, including roles, responsibilities, and boundaries that promote trust and collaboration.
- Identify effective strategies to engage board members as strategic partners beyond their fiduciary responsibilities.
- Strengthen communication channels between the board, executive leadership, and staff to foster transparency, mutual respect, and shared purpose.
- Apply real-world scenarios to assess and improve board-staff interactions, with an emphasis on creating synergy and avoiding common pitfalls.
