If you've had a previous difficult or traumatic birth, or a caesarean birth, and you are looking for a different experience, this webinar is for you. You do not need to be pregnant yet.

Did your last birth knock your confidence in your body and in the birth process?
Did you feel like you were swept along feeling powerless, overwhelmed by everything going on?
Are you looking for a different experience next time? More control. More autonomy. More time. More prepared.
A traumatic or difficult birth can be a birth that is full of intervention or relatively straightforward. Research shows that it is not only what happens to you that makes a birth traumatic but how you were treated and how much control you felt.
This time around you may find that you are being told what you are allowed, with decisions seemingly already made. But everything is your choice.

This webinar will help you go from diminished to empowered, from fear to freedom.
No birth option is off the table. Planned caesarean. Home birth. Birth centre. Free birth. No antenatal appointments. More appointments.
All options will be discussed to help you decide what is right for you. There will be examples of what others have chosen, and you may be surprised what is possible.
"Cathy has been there for me during the highs and lows of my pregnancy journey. Her caring and supportive approach has been of great comfort to me, and her advice so informative. Cathy recently helped me with planning a gentle caesarean which made an amazing positive difference to mine and my baby's experience."
This webinar can give you the framework to make your own choices and give you tips about how to get that happen, and be prepared for hiccups along the way.
This is about taking back your control, through understanding, through exploring your options, and giving you the tools and confidence to believe you can do it, in the way that is right for you.
The webinar covers:
- Understanding and moving on from the previous birth: getting notes, pros and cons of debriefs, processing emotions and thoughts.
- Feeling prepared and confident for the next: understanding birth process, maternity care, and your own situation, wants and needs.
- Navingating your care and dealing with appointments: confidence, mind shifts, phrases.
- Personalising your care: birth skills, birth plans, including back up plans.
- Short cuts to a positive, chilled birth, to give birth without trauma (as much as is possible).
There will be handouts including pros and cons sheet, phrases for appointments, and birth plan templates.
Any other questions can be answered too.
For all parents-to-be, and if you are not quite pregnant yet but interested.
Tickets are per family, so obviously partners are very welcome. Practitioners are welcome too.
You can eat/drink/care for babies during the session. Very relaxed.
If you can't make it, there will be a recording of the central part of the webinar (but not the introductions and discussions).
I'm a doula and perinatal educator and I've been supporting families preparing to meet their little one for over two decades. I have particularly worked with women, couples, who had difficult time with birth and are looking to have more control. I help them work out what they want, what care they need, and how they can get it.
