Welcome - Friends Around The Fire is a periodical crafty social event we run and everyone is invited.
Your family and friends are warmly welcomed to join us for some campfire cooking, make some seasonal crafts, relax, chat and meet other people in a lovely calm setting
August, that beautiful peak month of the summer, harvest scenes, balmy evenings and a gentle shift of colours and textures. We would love to spent the day with you , crafting, chilling, reading and some nature connection before school returns and we move into the autumn.
You are invited to bring your own food to cook on the fire as well as your own cooking pans and cutlery. We supply cooking oils and seasoning as well as teas, coffee, hot chocolate and marshmallows to toast over the fire.
You can have a go at some nature crafting, making Summery wreaths, flower crowns, perhaps some willow weaving, have a go at whittling some wood or carving a spoon. or just relax, eat and enjoy the space, painting, fabric dying. There are crafts and toys for the little folk to play with and we have the beautiful River Roding to paddle in too.
To help with the cost of materials and firewood the cost for each person is £8 .
Children under the age of 3 are free
