Drop-In Workshop with Marion Smith

Join Fife-based artist Marion Smith anytime between 1:30 - 4pm, Saturday 24 January 2026 at Duloch Library in Dunfermline for a free drop-in workshop exploring the designs and concepts behind her incoming public sculpture for the Dunfermline Learning Campus.

This will be an opportunity to meet Marion and hear about the influences informing her research for the sculpture, including local plants and insects, local stories, and Dunfermline’s significant history in the textile industry. You will then be invited to explore these influences by embossing, building, and decorating air-dried clay tiles to create your own designs to take home. Marion will have a range of Dunfermline-specific inspirational material to use and reference, and you can bring your own materials that inspire you or represent your local community.
