Embark on a cosmic journey with a double feature in our planetarium!
This month, we're celebrating 56 years since the world-changing Moon landing and upcoming plans to revisit the Moon in 2026! Whether you're with friends, a date, or flying solo, settle in and enjoy CAPCOM GO! followed by a special screening of Hidden Figures.
CAPCOM GO! The Apollo Story:
On 20 July 1969, the world watched as the Apollo 11 astronauts became the first people to set foot on the Moon, a historic moment that took almost 400,000 people over ten years to achieve.
How exactly did they do it?
CAPCOM GO! tells the story of Project Apollo and the extraordinary challenges it overcame to put man on the Moon, a feat that hasn’t been repeated since 1972.
Hidden Figures:
After a short intermission, enjoy the Oscar-winning story of three African-American women working at NASA during the Space Race. Mathematicians Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson play key roles in John Glenn's historic orbit, overcoming racial and gender discrimination to become trailblazers in science, technology, and space exploration.
