June Section Night: Mathijs van de Ven - Cycling in Patagonia, a climber's perspective

If you would have asked me ten years ago if I would consider a cycling holiday you would have received a resolute no. Hailing from the lowlands, a cycle touring holiday seemed like a retirement plan. This year I did my first ever cycling holiday in Patagonia. For the club night I'll dig out my favourite shots and will give some tips and some pitfalls and provide my perspective on why you might want to consider a cycling trip for your next big adventure.

Note: The section night will be held in the Matheson Room at Knox Church, Dunedin (between George Street and Pitt Street). The venue is located behind the church. Please note that parking is not available on the church grounds, so drivers will need to find nearby street parking.
