Jane Austen @ 250 – Public Display

Celebrate 250 years of Jane Austen’s legacy with this pop-up display at Tūhura Otago Museum. Focused on the objects selected for the Jane Austen @ 250 floor talk by Austen expert Jocelyn Harris, the display brings the elegance and insight of Jane Austen’s time and interests to life with evocative Wedgwood ceramics, period fashion, and more.

Join us Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October for special floor talks with Professor Emerita Jocelyn Harris as she shares stories and deeper contexts for Austen’s world. This display offers something to literature-lovers and history enthusiasts alike.
