Bringing the RAVE back to Dunedin showcasing atmospheric, intelligent and uplifting jungle drum n bass, alongside complimentary genres such as steppas, halftime, dubstep and breaks.
A night encompassing both vinyl and digital selectas, DJ Koncept brings 20 years of production, turntablism & scratching prowess to Dropkicks, Dunedin. Originally hailing from Northen Ireland, DJ Koncept has spent the last 12 years residing in the land of the long white cloud, releasing an impressive collection of tasteful, atmospheric jungle EPs often influenced by the beautiful place we call home.
DJ Koncept specializes in hip-hop, trip-hop, jungle, DnB, and early 90s sounds. The multi-award winning DJ recently picked up top spot in the 2023 UK and Ireland IDA Scratch Category and was 2023 Booster Competition Champion.
He currently runs two labels – Vinyl Combat and Knife Skills and has collaborated with established artists such as Kool Keith, DJ A Sides, David Boomah, Villem, T.R.A.C to name a few.
DJ Koncept has released music on a number of established labels such as Kniteforce, Remix Records, Soul Deep Recordings, Celsius Recordings and more. DJ Koncept plays weekly shows on Kniteforce Radio and bi weekly on Jungletrain.
