OUSA Diversity Week is back for 2025 🙌
Diversity Week is an annual event celebrating the multiple sectors of diversity within our student community, and this year's schedule is packed!
There's the iconic quiz and queens quiz night, yoga, a tea party and plenty more events with a special focus on supporting and celebrating our queer community!
There's something for everyone to get involved with, so check back for added event information as it is posted over the coming weeks!
Queerest Tea Party

📍 Evison Lounge - 84 Albany Street
A fun and relaxed event for Queer Otago & Polytech students to mingle and make connections! There will be nibbles, rainbow cake and tea!
Matauranga Maori
⏰ Tuesday 23rd / 2pm
📍Pacific Island Centre Conference Room
A space for staff & students to learn about Maori practices and ways of being. It is a chance to ask questions and engage in korero about matauraka and how it may be implemented in our daily lives to bring health, wellness and success for all. A class around Tikanga with Dr. Matiu Tai Ratima.

Join our experienced facilitator, Jasmin Dingemans, for a trauma-focused yoga session. Students of all body types and abilities are invited to come and learn inclusive yoga techniques. This is a learning environment where students can feel safe to experience trauma informed yoga.
Quiz & Queens

Enter teams of 3-6 into our fabulous quiz night of glitz and glam celebrating drag culture and performance! There's prizes for 1st, 2nd,3rd, best dressed and even last! With epic performances from local drag stars Ann Arkii and Cherri Cola, this night is not to be missed!
