"Warren was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) last year, a week after his first birthday. He has completed the standard treatment for his disease which included a combination of chemotherapy and other medications at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Sadly, it was not effective. Warren’s disease is still active in his GI tract, skin and has also spread to his liver. LCH diagnosis is rare. After MANY tests and MANY discussions with their outstanding oncology team at Children’s Hospital, they have decided that it is best for Warren to pursue treatment in a clinical trial that will require extensive testing and appointments.
They will start to incur more expenses going into their second year of treatment. Some of the main expenses include hotel stays, gas, unpaid days off of work, in addition to all of the medical expenses.
Warren's parents (Bryce & Taylar) have two older children at home as well, who they have to leave to be with Warren for treatment. They travel back and forth frequently to be together as a family.
Bryce and Taylar make a wonderful team, and they feel the love from everyone! We ask for continued prayer for Warren, his parents, & his siblings as they navigate this difficult journey. As a whole family, we thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and support!
From Warren’s parents: “We are completely overwhelmed by the love, prayers and support we have been given. We have a loss of words for the kindness and generosity of people that we know personally but also many that we do not know. Many people have asked what they can do to help us, and we will always ask for prayers first.”"
