Sound and song are ancient technologies that have been used for centuries to help us cultivate connection, belonging, and inner peace. Sound speaks an old language that our bodies can instantly recognize, and that can also have profound impacts on our emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Songs can carry powerful transmissions that may offer you valuable insights and messages from the unseen realms.
In connection with the Winter Solstice, you are invited to receive live sound that works alongside your own body’s intelligence to bring you into a deep state of rest, relaxation and equilibrium. The Winter Solstice is a time to celebrate the return of the light, and as the longest night of the year, also invites us into communion with darkness. This can be a powerful time to turn inwards and create space for rest, release and renewal.
This guided journey will include live vocals and instruments such as crystal bowls, shruti box, guitar, medicine drums, rattles, and more. While this experience will be similar to sound bath, you can expect written songs in addition to improvised and channeled sound and songs. In addition, you can also expect earth-based ritual songs from specific cultural lineages, including songs in Gaeilge (Irish-Gaelic), to honour those who came before us.

Arrival & Location:
Please arrive by 6:45pm to settle into the space before we begin! If you come and we have already begun, please enter the space gently. Collective Space is located on a second-story floor and up a flight of stairs. If you have any accessibility needs, please get in touch.
About Hanna:
Of Dutch, Norse, and Celtic settler ancestry, Hanna Elise (she/her) is a lifelong singer who believes it is everyone’s birthright to sing. With over a decade of classical vocal training and experience across genres - including opera, jazz, folk, and blues - she performs as a solo artist and with her musical project, Emergence.
