Lynne Hanson’s gritty blend of Americana, blues, and folk has earned her the nickname “Canada’s Queen of Americana.” Known for high-energy, roots-driven performances—her deep, bluesy voice and poetic lyrics draw comparisons to Lucinda Williams and Gillian Welch.

A two-time Canadian Folk Music Award winner, she’s released ten albums and two poetry books over her 20-year career. Hanson has toured extensively across North America and Europe, playing major festivals and opening for artists like Gretchen Peters and Albert Lee. Her latest album, Just A Poet (2024) was nominated for Contemporary Album of the Year.
