The 39 Days of July isn’t just a festival—it’s a living, breathing celebration of music, connection, and community in the heart of the Cowichan Valley. On Monday night, Daring Greatly takes the VITALS Stage for a powerful closing set under the stars.
Daring Greatly is a Canadian-American rock band known for its signature blend of blood harmonies, heartfelt songwriting, and a sound that bridges the worlds of classic rock, country, folk, and soul. Led by Canadian-born brothers Patrick and Liam Croome and drummer Brayden Tario, the band now calls Southern California home. Rounding out the five-piece lineup are guitarist Jeff Starkey and bassist Brendan Cutrer—two players who helped define the band’s sound after years of growth on the road.
Whether on a big festival stage or an intimate outdoor setting like this, Daring Greatly brings an energy that connects. They’ve toured relentlessly across North America and shared the stage with artists as varied as Lainey Wilson, Young the Giant, Bon Jovi, and Midland. That range reflects the band’s genre-defying appeal, but it’s the raw honesty of their live show that keeps people coming back.
Winners of multiple San Diego Music Awards—including Best Rock/Indie Song and Best Music Video in 2025—the band continues to carve out its place in the scene, without a label or manager, doing everything independently.
Their newest record Let It Ride is out now, featuring standout tracks like “Trouble,” “Ain’t My Sound,” and “Trenches.” This summer’s tour across Canada and the U.S. is a full-circle moment—and Duncan is one of the few BC stops to catch the band in action.
