Celebrate the Summer Solstice in the heart of Lochend Woods!
(Lochend Woods - Kellie Road/Middlemas Road, EH42 1GJ - and follow the signs!)
In the midst of the magic and wisdom of trees we will gather to make wishes, share stories, songs and gongs.
Mini sound bath sessions will take place where drum, shruti box and voice combine with the ambient sounds of nature and gong.
We would like to cultivate a *ceilidh vibe so please feel welcome to share a song, poem, story or something creative. Local creatives/musicians are invited to participate.
You are encouraged to bring something to sit/lay on as the ground may be cold/damp.
This is a free/by donation event. Any donations will go towards the Balkan Music Camps 2025 and the woodland trust.
You can make a donation via the suggested ticket options, donate to the fundraising link
https://gofund.me/4a11225b ...or on the day!
This event is for those wishing to be in a place of reflection, listening and stillness. There is a family event in the morning that accommodates younger ages of children and play based engagement.
Recommended to be part of the whole session but you are welcome to drop in as you like.
* If the weather is a bit Scottish-Summerish we will gather at a future date - please check in before hand or enjoy the beauty of nature in rain in a natural sound bath!
* 'The word ceilidh comes from the Gaelic word “céilidh,” which originally referred to a social gathering or party, often featuring music, dancing, storytelling, and other forms of entertainment. In Scottish Gaelic, the word is still used to refer to a gathering, although the form of entertainment has evolved over time (
