"Sharron and Linzi were very welcoming, so I felt safe and reassured at all times. I liked having the opportunity to advise you of my previous experience and what I hoped to get out of the session via the pre-course questionnaire. I appreciated being asked if there was anything we were worried about, and participants' needs were taken into consideration accordingly. I thought the session was pitched well, with information delivered in a way that was easy to understand - I learned a lot!"
"I found everything so useful and you can never hear good advice too often. The emphasis on safety is vital for any kind of swimming. I wish I had been privy to this kind of safety information when I was younger. The help with swimming techniques was a game changer for me.i feel I can travel further with less effort compared to my frantic strokes previously. I feel more confident in the water should anyone get into difficulty . Hands on is such a useful way to learn and retain vital information".
"I would say all of the above but in particular the coaching . Sharon gave many tips and demonstrations which made swimming in open water more efficient. I realised yesterday that I am an erratic swimmer at best and burn too much energy in trying to keep up with people who are strong swimmers. Yesterday taught me I don’t need to keep up and slow and steady wins the race. I swam 1200metres yesterday without stopping or standing . Feel it in my legs today . It was a hugely insightful day on a personal level for me ".
