Jonathan Richman, born in 1951, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist known for his work with The Modern Lovers and as a solo artist. He's recognized for his unique, childlike vocal delivery and his blend of rock and roll with diverse musical influences. He often performs with a nylon-string acoustic guitar and is known for his spontaneous and intimate live shows.
