About the event

Common Nighthawk Migration

Did you know that each fall thousands of Common Nighthawks migrate through Duluth during the last few weeks of August? Join us for an evening of Nighthawk viewing to learn more about these long-distance migrants!

The event will be held on the beach by the Lester River outside of the UMD Limnology Building, 6008 London Road. Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory researchers, educators, and volunteers will be on-site to help with viewing and answer any questions you may have. Free and open to the public.
