May 1, 2025, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
College of St. Scholastica, Duluth
1.5 ACHE In-Person Education Credits
Developing new health delivery models that embrace the role of Integrative Health and Medicine can play a role in transforming our system of health and achieve optimal wellness in patient populations. Integrative medicine and integrative health are approaches to health care that combine conventional medicine with complementary and alternative therapies to treat the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. The principles include a holistic approach using the social determinants of health, partnership and collaboration between patients and practitioners and integrating evidence-based and safe therapies. As healthcare moves increasingly to a broader definition of health and holistic approaches, it is critical that healthcare executives are well-versed in the opportunities and challenges with integrative health and medical delivery models role with chronic disease management, chronic pain management, behavioral health, autoimmune and oncology diseases. Learning how to incorporate these new models into a health system and ambulatory and other clinical practice systems can support transforming care for our patients as well as healthcare systems.
