Kabarett und Vocal Jazz – wie kaum jemand sonst prägten diese beiden Heroen ihr Genre,
die beide 2025 100 Jahre alt geworden wären.
Der eine hierzulande überall bekannt, beliebt und umstritten, der andere nahezu unbekannt.
In den USA wäre es umgekehrt… .
Matthias Held, selbst Jazzsänger und Songkabarettist, gestaltet einen abwechslungsreichen Abend
mit Texten, Songs, Anekdoten und Lebensgeschichte von Hüsch und Tormé,
parallel und im Vergleich, unterstützt via Multimedia.

Cabaret and vocal jazz – few have shaped their genres as much as these two heroes, who would both have turned 100 in 2025. One is widely known, loved, and controversial here in Germany; the other is almost unknown. In the USA, it would be the other way around…
Matthias Held, himself a jazz singer and song cabaret artist, presents a varied evening of texts, songs, anecdotes, and the life stories of Hüsch and Tormé – in parallel and in comparison – supported by multimedia.
