About Suonare:
Suonare (pronounced “Swoh-nah-ray”-Italian verb meaning “to play”) is a chamber group of advanced high school musicians from the Dubuque Symphony Youth Orchestra. Suonare gives the students the opportunity to get out of the concert hall and into the community. They gain experience in performing as a small chamber ensemble rather than a full orchestra. Students take on the responsibility of scheduling their own rehearsals, and choosing what music they want to play. The students of Suonare have a great selection of both classical favorites and pop hits!
