Selection and Development of Bonsai from nursery stock

Guest artist Shannon Salyer will teach a class on how to select, and work nursery stock to build bonsai. Shannon will go through the details of how to select, prepare, style and later grow nursery material, such as procumbens juniper, dawn redwood and others.

In the afternoon, at 1:00pm Shannon will lead a “bring your own tree” style workshop, so if you need help with cut back, wiring or tree design he can very much help you. You bring the tree and your tools, the club will provide the wire and Shannon will provide the expertise! The workshop is limited to eight persons and costs $85.00 per person.
