Metallitia
The Festive Season comes early to the Barrel Venue @ McHugh’s, this year, when perennial crowd favorites, Metallitia, return to their old stomping ground for their annual Drogheda shindig.
Expect all the old Metallica favourites delivered with fire and ice under the command of legendary guitar-slinger Flash, ably aided and abetted by his hard-rocking musical confederates. Metallitia came into existence in 1996 and in the intervening 29 years they have established themselves as the foremost Metallica tribute in Europe and are respected everywhere as true interpreters of the authentic Metallica sound. The band’s set juggernauts on for over two hours with what can only be described as a greatest hits show, featuring classic gems like For Whom the Bell Tolls, Fade To Black, Battery, Master of Puppets, One, Creeping Death, Enter Sandman, Am I Evil, Blackened, etc, and topped off with Seek and Destroy. The poster for the gig says it all: “Master of Tributes” - they certainly are!
