We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new community partnership at Apogee Dripping Springs: Kassie Harris, owner of the Wimberley Valley Dinner Club! Kassie will bring her incredible culinary expertise to our students through a hands-on cooking program this spring.
Meet Kassie Harris:
Kassie is a professional chef with deep roots in Indian and Thai cuisines, honed at Austin favorites like Whip In and G’raj Mahal, and during her time cooking in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and India. As a Holistic Nutritionist, Kassie is passionate about creating healthy, gut-healing meals that bring people together. Her philosophy? Food isn’t just nourishment—it’s the heart of community and culture.
About the Program:
🗓 When: Fridays, 9:30 AM–12:30 PM, Jan. 17–May 23
📍 Where: Dripping Springs Presbyterian Church kitchen
Eligibility: Students 14+ | Space limited to 5 spots
Prerequisite: Must attend the Intro class on Jan. 17 to join future sessions
✨ What You’ll Learn:
🔪 Knife skills, kitchen safety, and equipment basics
🍳 Meal prep, efficiency tips, and quick, creative meals
🥗 Breakfasts, snacks, smoothies, soups, and salads
🌏 Cuisines like Indian, Thai, and Chinese
👩🍳 By semester’s end, students will design, cook, and present a family dinner!
