The 17th Annual Iron Chef Tucson competition will take place at the Desert Diamond Casino – Sahuarita, Arizona. Chef McKenzie will face off against reigning Iron Chef Anthony Dromgoole of Obon Sushi & Ramen Bar in a high-energy, live culinary showdown, reminiscent of the popular TV competition. The event will feature a surprise ingredient that both chefs must incorporate into their dishes.
Guests can anticipate an exciting day of culinary delights, as the Iron Chef Tucson event also includes a Culinary Experience from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, offering three hours of food and drink sampling, cooking demonstrations, and classes. The highly anticipated Iron Chef Competition will then commence from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Chef McKenzie, known for her innovative approach and expertise as the Executive Chef at Tanque Verde Ranch, where she highlights authentic Sonoran techniques and local ingredients, is poised to deliver an unforgettable performance. Having previously appeared on Food Network's "Chopped," Chef McKenzie brings a wealth of experience and a passion for her craft to this prestigious competition.
