VISIT THE PAST! Experience 1775 at the Pownalborough Court House

Visit the Past

Step into 1775 at the historic Pownalborough Court House in Dresden, Maine, and experience daily life on the eve of the American Revolution.

Reenactors will bring the 18th century to life, portraying real people and activities from the time leading up to independence at the very place it all happened. Wander the courthouse grounds and meet the past face to face.

Colonial clothing is welcome but completely optional. Feel free to join the fun in your own 18th-century-inspired outfit, or just come as you are.

Drop in anytime between 10 AM and 4 PM, but be sure to arrive with enough time to enjoy both the reenactors and the museum before we close at 4.
