Join fellow basket lovers for a day of fun, shopping, reminiscing & more in Dresden, where handmade artistry of baskets is always celebrated

About this Event

Join us for a day of fun in Dresden, OH; America's Basketmaking Capital. It started with the basket but has grown into so much more. The event will feature many stores, attractions, and destinations that call Dresden home. Stay for the Homecoming festivities highlighting local vendors, food trucks, and music in addition to the many festival activities. Come join us for this special event hosted by the Dresden Community Association.

REGISTER TO ATTEND – The event itself is free. If you wish to participate in an activity; Build A Basket, Paint A Basket, or Lunch In A Basket tickets are available to purchase for these activities. The Event Basket can be purchased or signed up to "Build" your own.

Registration and payment are required to get your tickets to each activity.

Space is limited so get your tickets early. Click on "Reserve A Spot" to Pre-Register

Lunch In A Basket

Info: What a great way to have lunch - In a basket. Grab the 2005 Longaberger Heritage Days Basket and tie-on filled with a Sub sandwich, Pasta Salad, Chips, Dessert & Water. This basket has sage and burgundy accent colors and features maple leaf tacks with a swing handle and shoestring weaving. Enjoy lunch on a bench, picnic table or while playing Bingo.

Longaberger Family Basket Signing

Info: Meet Longaberger Family members and ask them to sign your basket.

Build A Basket

Info: Reserve your time by purchasing your ticket here, on EventBrite so you can work with a Basket Weaver to create your very own handwoven Festival Basket. Learn how to weave over and under, tap your rounds down, give your basket a haircut and finish off your basket with a finishing band. Then YOU proudly sign the bottom of the basket.


Don't forget your camera for this memory making experience!

Paint A Basket

Info: A Skilled Artist will help you choose your paint colors and assist you with painting a Longaberger Beverage Tote Basket. Purchase your ticket here, on Eventbrite to reserve your very own basket. This basket would make a great addition to your kitchen or give as a wedding gift. The Beverage Tote has a solid wood bottom with 1/2” weave.
