A Community of Belonging - Celebration Worship and Lunch

Downey United Methodist Church boldly proclaims that we are a community of belonging! We have been in a season where we have claimed this truth for many months in a sermon series entitled, "Cherished Belonging." This series followed our weekly bible readings and excerpts from Father Greg Boyle's recent book "Cherished Belonging."

This season builds to our celebration worship and lunch on June 8th from 10:30am to 1:30pm where all are invited!

Every week we come to the communion table together as a community of belonging. We know at Jesus's table that we belong to each other, and we look for God's amazing goodness in everyone that comes through our doors. We also know in our world that many are lonely and lack community. We want everyone to know that you will find belonging at Downey UMC. We hope you can join us at this celebration for the community God is building at Downey UMC.
