Herbs have been a staple in kitchens and medicine cabinets for centuries, used for enhancing food flavour, treating ailments, and weaving into various folklore and superstitions. Key aspects to explore are their culinary uses (e.g., flavouring meats and sauces), cultivation methods (including pest control and specific planting techniques), and rich folklore (tales, magic, and medicinal traditions associated with specific plants).

Our speaker this evening is Jacqueline Aviolet, owner of Rosie’s Garden Plants, has been a horticultural speaker since the last century. Her style is in formative and light-hearted. She likes to encourage all things horticultural with humour

In the majority of the talks, she will bring plants for propagation and reference as well as to sell and donate to the raffle.
