🌿 Welcome to the Somatic Circle
Somatic Circle is a thoughtfully curated event introducing participants to the transformative world of Somatic Work also known as somatic psychology or somatic experiencing.
Together, we’ll explore how chronic stress and trauma live in the body — and how to begin meeting those patterns with curiosity, care, and embodied support. Being witnessed, heard, and supported by others allows us to co-regulate, dissolve shame, and remember: we do not have to carry it alone.
Community offers a kind of medicine the body understands — restoring a sense of belonging, connection, and shared humanity.
🌿 What Is Somatic Work
Somatic Work is a holistic, experiential, body-oriented, and trauma-informed approach that offers techniques to release tension, alleviate chronic stress , address trauma, and gently unlock emotional residue stored within. By tuning into your body’s sensations, you begin to reconnect with yourself in a deep and lasting way. This work honors the powerful, interconnected relationship between the mind and body in the stress and trauma recovery process and enhanced overall well-being.
🌿 What To Expect
Through a gentle blend of guided integrative practices, somatic education and philosophies, participants will:
- Learn how to understand and work with their nervous system.
- Explore the language of the body — sensation — as a way to identify how past experiences are held within.
- Cultivate somatic awareness, build capacity, and establish a foundation for regulation.
- Learn to hold and be with our feelings and emotions, rather than avoid or override them.
- Release patterns of holding, bracing, or numbing.
- Discover their edges — what they can hold, when they need pause, and how those thresholds may shift day to day.

This work isn’t about “fixing” what’s wrong. Instead, it supports you in:
- Developing safety in your body
- Becoming aware of your inner experiences
- Embodying your wholeness — not just surviving, but reconnecting and thriving

This circle is not about fixing or forcing — it is about presence. By honoring your body’s wisdom, limits, and impulses, you gently build a foundation of inner safety and resilience.
By embracing the complexity and contradiction within the Self, this work nurtures curiosity, compassion, and a deeper connection— to yourself and to others.

- Where does the event take place? 🌿 this event is offered in-person
- Who can attend? 🌿 everyone is welcome here, this event is for anyone 18 yrs or older
- What if I have never done Somatic Work? 🌿 that is absolutely okay, this class is a gentle introduction
- Is this therapy? 🌿 This event is therapeutic, but it is not therapy. While we engage in practices that support healing and emotional well-being, this is not a substitute for therapy
