Plot:
This heartfelt two-woman comedy blends humor with emotional depth. Two women, Dory (65) and her mother, Margaret (85), live together in a mobile home in Abilene, Texas. On this particular morning, Mama awoke early with the overwhelming need to bake an apple pie. When the noise awakes Dory, she joins her mother to assemble the pie and chat—Mama attempting to tie up loose ends and put Dory's life in better order before she departs this world.
Roles:
• Dory—Female-presenting, able to appear approximately 65 years old
• Mama— Female-presenting, able to appear approximately 85 years old
This is a dialogue-heavy production with no intermission, so we are seeking experienced actors with solid memorization skills, stamina, and nuanced emotional range.
