First Fridays in Downtown Dover: August 1st to December 5th
From August through December, Downtown Dover is hosting a special event on the first Friday of each month to bring the community together and support small businesses. Called "First Fridays," this event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and invites locals and visitors alike to shop, dine, and explore the heart of the city.
During First Fridays, many downtown retailers stay open later than usual, giving people a chance to browse unique shops and find one-of-a-kind gifts. Whether you're looking for something special for a birthday, holiday, or just because, this is a great time to explore what Dover’s small businesses have to offer.
In addition to extended shopping hours, several local restaurants offer First Friday-only specials on food and drinks. From discounted appetizers to happy hour pricing, these deals are a great excuse to enjoy dinner downtown after an evening of shopping.

The event runs on the first Friday of every month from August 1st through December 5th. Dates include August 1, September 5, October 3, November 7, and December 5.
