Creative writing workshop: Dover, stories, and the senses

This creative workshop will explore the relationship between Dover, the people who call it home, and their stories across past, present, and future.

Through a series of individual and collective writing exercises and play-based prompts, we will explore with different approaches to understanding a place through storytelling and the senses.

Participants will also be asked to bring with them a few objects to the workshop (e.g. photographs) and should be comfortable talking and sharing in a small group environment.

Liz Pagett and Zahra Malekmohammadi are designers and researchers at UCL's Bartlett School of Architecture, currently exploring the relationship between site, storytelling, and the senses for their final project in their MArch Design for Performance and Interaction degrees.
