Have you always wanted to learn to sew, but felt unsure where to start—or what even to make first? Our three-week Beginner Sewing Series at Thrifty Bootique is a gentle, confidence-building introduction to using a sewing machine and learning key techniques by making three practical projects you’ll actually use: a scrunchie, a roll-up pillowcase, and a flat-bottom zipper pouch.
We’ll start on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14, and meet for three Saturdays in a row—February 14, 21, and 28—from 12–2 p.m. Each week, the teacher will guide you step-by-step, answer your questions, and help you build skills at a relaxed, beginner-friendly pace. No prior experience is required, just curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a couple of Saturday afternoons set aside for yourself.
This Valentine’s Day, skip the bouquet and treat yourself (or someone you love) to something that lasts: a new skill, a cozy creative ritual, and the confidence to keep sewing long after class ends.
