Join us Tuesday, July 23 from 6–8 PM at Downtown Books for Embroidery Night: A Jane Austen Celebration! In honor of the 250th anniversary of Austen’s birth, we’re embracing one of her favorite pastimes—needlework! Austen often mentioned her sewing in letters and saw it as both a creative outlet and a source of pride.
Tickets are $20 and include a complete beginner-friendly embroidery kit—no experience necessary. Come stitch, sip, and socialize in true Regency style. Whether you're a seasoned embroiderer or just curious, this cozy evening promises literary charm, hands-on fun, and good company. Spots are limited!
