Dothan Loop Challenge

The Loop Race is a first time event to encourage the Wiregrass running community to take on a challenge at the Larry and Ronna Dykes Westgate running trail.

This event will offer runners a lap every hour for those that are seeking preparation for a marathon. Those running the marathon distance will run a lap every hour starting at 8:00 a.m. and finishing with their last lap starting at 3 pm. For those running a half marathon (4 laps) your event will start at 12 pm. with last lap starting at 3 pm. For those wanting to participate, we are offering a 5k version which will start at 3 pm.

Awards will be done after the last loop. This event is a great time to meet the Wiregrass running community, get a good endurance challenge, network, and get a great workout.

This is the first of its kind event and we are looking forward to a fun day. Running packets can be picked up the day before (November 21, 2025) at Jimmy John's located at 4400 West Main Street, Suite 5, Dothan, Alabama 36305.
