Fly Fishing Plus at Mueller State Park

Have you attended one of our Fly Fishing Basic classes? Or have some general fly fishing experience and want to learn more? This is the next step!

Instructors Craig and Rex, long time fly fishermen, will help you understand fly fishing gear of all kinds. From waders to weights, they will explain everything you need to know.

You will also learn about topics like reading the water, different flies, rigs and casts.

We’ll spend 3-hours in the morning in the classroom, then spend some time fishing at Dragonfly Pond.

Bring your own LUNCH! It is suggested that you bring your own rod, but you are welcome to use one of ours if needed.

You must have attended a basic class or have fly fishing experience for this class to be beneficial. Best for ages 12 years and older.

The class is free, but you must have a park pass to access the park.
