This lecture explores how behavior science can support athletic goals in a horse-friendly way.

We’ll also look at common behavior challenges, which often come from a mix of physical limitations, pain, and reinforcement patterns. You’ll learn about simple, low-cost tools that trainers and owners can use to start teasing out these factors. With training strategies grounded in behavior science, we can help horses feel better, work better, and say yes more often.

The session will begin with a short lecture and review of key concepts, followed by discussion, demonstrations, and a hands-on workshop.
